Join a small, dynamic team of design engineers and benefitting from excellent training and guidance, the Graduate Electrical Engineer will be responsible for producing designs for railway electrification projects, covering areas such as AC and DC distribution systems, HV and DC switchgear renewals and upgrades of electrical infrastructure at substations and train depots.

As this role is in the railway industry, it will be sometimes necessary to work at night or the weekend.

Responsibilities:

Carry out site surveys on the railway
Ensure all works comply with industry standards and regulations, as well as client requirements
Liaise with various stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, equipment manufacturers
Put together technical reports, design specifications and Designer’s Risk Assessments (DRA)
Ensure designs comply with CDM regulations
Support other engineers in their role

Requirements:

BEng (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation
Driving licence (or be working towards)
