We are currently looking to recruit for a Graduate or Assistant Rail Civil Design Engineer based in Derby working on Civils schemes to supplement electrification projects. As the Graduate or Assistant Rail Civil Design Engineer will report to the Civil Team leader in the efficient and effective delivery of Rail projects in the civils team in producing civil engineering designs and studies for a range of railway infrastructure projects, specially linked to electrification.
As the Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of Civils design deliverables in accordance with Network Rail and client requirements working on such schemes as OLE Masts, portal frames, foundation, and gantries.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Graduate looking to make that next step up into a Assistant Design Engineering position, or a recent Graduate who has undertaken work placements looking for Graduate Engineering role.
As previously mentioned, this position is based in Derby working on a hybrid basis, so could suit candidates from the surrounding areas such as Nottingham etc.
Job Requirements
Ideally some form of experience via work placement, internships within Civil or Structural Design Engineering. Alternatively candidate looking for their 2nd job as an Assistant Engineer will also be considered
2:1 Degree in either Civil or Structural Engineering
Familiar in the use of computer analysis programs.
