Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (with Rail or Infrastructure Experience)
Location: Central London
Contract Type: Long-term contract
Rate: £400 to £450 a day (INSIDE IR35)

We are currently seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join a large cost & project management consultancy firm in Central London. The Quantity Surveyor will be supporting Network Rail and overseeing a small portfolio of projects across their Network in the South East.

Some of the Quantity Surveyors key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

Period reporting – reporting on all project values and anticipated final costs
Supplier management – covering a range of suppliers from small/one off suppliers through to larger suppliers providing services or goods to the entire framework
Managing period applications and payments
Risk management
Managing variations

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Previous experience working in the rail or infrastructure industry
Strong understanding of construction contracts and legal requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cost estimating software

This is a long term contract opportunity, inside IR35 and with a day rate of £400 to £450, dependent on experience.
