As a Technical Administrator, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of Engineering Change submissions related to transport assets (particularly on UK rolling stock) on behalf of our customers, navigating a variety of different types of change requests and identifying (where possible) a standard set of criteria to ensure that the requests meet relevant industry approvals requirements.

You will also provide wider technical administration support to the engineering team as required.

You will be given the flexibility to manage the delivery of your own work to the client and that of others within the Fishbone team to timescale, cost and quality requirements.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Work with senior management to understand ultimate objectives and desired outcomes for each assigned project.
Work as an individual and as part of a team to deliver specific work packages to quality, time and budget.
Provide wider technical administration support to the Fishbone engineering team as appropriate.

Qualifications required:

Demonstrated experience in a relevant environment.
Technical expertise and skills required:

Ideally you will have some knowledge of different types of UK rolling stock including EMUs, DMUs, locomotives and coaches and their systems, but other experience working in engineering support areas is welcomed
Demonstration of project management/engineering/technical administration experience on rolling stock projects is preferred, but other engineering disciplines will also be considered.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to organise large amounts of data and reports.
Fluent technical report writing.
A working knowledge of the UK rail industry is preferable.
