Signalling Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Signalling Engineer to join a team in Derby. This is a unique chance to contribute to the advancement of rail infrastructure and be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of innovation in the industry.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the project team to design, install, test, and commission signalling systems for a rail scheme in Derby.
Conduct detailed analysis and feasibility studies to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on signalling principles, systems integration, and safety requirements.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and design plans.
Conduct site surveys and inspections to identify potential issues and propose effective solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technological advancements in signalling engineering.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in signalling engineering within the rail industry, with a strong understanding of signalling principles, systems, and equipment.
In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as Network Rail standards and European Train Control System (ETCS) principles.
Proficiency in using industry-specific software and tools for design and analysis (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, ERTMS, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
