Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a Senior QS to join a team in their Glasgow office on a number of rail electrification schemes across Scotland. They are open to QS’ who have strong construction based experience, ideally within the rail industry.

The position will also involve:
Analysing quotations and placing official orders
Compiling and comparing subcontractor tenders
Valuations and cost reports
Meetings with Finance and Project Team
Identifying and valuating site instructions and extensions
Allocating work to subcontractors
Experience and Qualifications:
Understanding of contract document preparation, contract management processes and procedures
Experience of assisting in the handling of claims and disputes
A working knowledge of procurement techniques and contract forms.
An understanding of commercial and financial reporting within a project, programme or portfolio environment
Degree qualified with BSc Quantity Surveying is desirable
Experience of assisting in the handling of claims and disputes.
