We have a fantastic opportunity to join an Engineering team working out of a Wembley Light Maintenance Depot.
The Package
Salary of £52,969, pay rate equivalent to approx. £29.10 per hour
Permanent contract
Working 35 hours per week on a 24-hour roster basis

The Role: Rolling Stock Electrical Engineer
Reporting to the Production Manager, as the Electrical Engineer, you’ll support the Fleet of Class 165 DMUs, Class 168 DMUs, Mark ll Coaches/DVTs and Class 68 Diesel locomotives in their planned and casualty maintenance activities.
Your duties will include, although will not be limited to:
Maintaining, diagnosing faults, repairing and servicing the fleet of Diesel multiple-unit vehicles local Local Hauled Coaches and other traction and rolling stock
Cooperating with measures and systems designed to increase productivity and the efficiency of the maintenance activity
Complying with the Safe Working Instructions, Depot, and individual protection measures
Reviewing diagnostic downloads
Updating electronic documentation
Cooperating, complying and encouraging good housekeeping and health and safety activities within the Depot
Complying with the Network Rail-issued Rules and Regulations Book, provisions, and documentation
Acknowledging and ensuring compliance with the Fleet Standards Information
Requirements: Rolling Stock Electrical Engineer
Proven experience in safety-critical traction and rolling stock maintenance from a shop floor perspective
Experience in either a mechanical or electrical engineering role
At least an ONC, either Mechanical electrical, or electronic qualification
Awareness of health and safety procedures
Good understanding of schematic diagrams and layouts
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
