Shift Production Manager

Job title: Shift Production Manager (Rolling Stock)
Job location: Northwest London
Salary: £59,000
Shifts: 5 on 5 off then 4 on 4 off (Days, Nights, Weekends)
Hours per week: Average 40 hours per week
Duration: Permanent

Position Summary

Supervising a Rolling Stock maintenance, fault finding and repair team, working on new state of the art Rail Vehicles within a busy Maintenance depot. The role of the team is to ensure all Trains are delivered back into service safely and to the high safety critical standards.

The roles responsibilities would include:

* Managing the team’s performance and continuous improvement.
* Carry out safety critical work inspections and checks.
* Supervision of the operational processes within the depot.
* Manage tooling and materials for the team.
* Continually supporting and developing lean processes.
* Implement change where necessary.
* Planning of exam activities.
* Delivery of toolbox talks.
* Management of team (Appraisals, holidays, performance, sickness).
* Ensure health and safety standards are met (PPE and practises).
* Support Train Movements around the depot.
* Ensuring all safety critical procedures are adhered to.

Qualifications:
A formal Engineering qualification is a must (HNC, NVQ, C&G, Apprenticeship, Diploma)

Person Profile/Experience:
* Strong man manager
* High HSE standards
* Experience in Engineering Maintenance
* IT competent (Microsoft packages)
* Knowledge of Engineering Drawings

Previous Rail experience is preferred but not essential.
