Rolling Stock Electrical Technician

We are looking for a Rolling Stock Electrical Technician on a Contract basis in Glasgow for a leading Rolling Stock manufacturing company.

The contract has an initial 6-month duration of 40 hours per week with a rate of £27.77 ph UMB or £20.67 ph PAYE (inside IR35)

Rolling Stock experience is essential.

You will carry out commissioning & Warranty work on state-of-the art trains, The role is based on Monday to Friday, with 1 week in 4 on Nights.

The successful candidate will be level 3 qualified or equivalent with an electrical bias and have great fault-finding experience.

This will consist of such tasks as:

Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repair required
Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces
Answer technical questions from colleagues and handle practical questions asked by the Client
Provide assistance and technical feedback to the RAMS/performance engineer and depot production teams on technical incidents, including Line of Route Technicians as required
Risk identification within the scope of works, assessment, and provision of options to mitigate or resolve it, taking into account compliance with relevant legislation
Review and summarise faults, failures and actions taken by depot production teams as required by the RAMS / performance Engineer

All candidates will be required to pass a Medical, Drug & Alcohol Screening prior to starting work.
