To deliver an effective, efficient and safe service to the company.

Responsible for day to day management of the workforce and plant on site and to liaise with the client as required.

Responsible for day to day cost effective running ensuring and smooth progression of projects through to completion whilst ensuring budgets are met.

To ensure the contracts are handed back to the client’s requirements and that the companies interests in commercial, production and safety issues are covered as defined in the scope of works detailed at the start of the projects

KEY ACCOUNTABILITES

(please note this is not an exhaustive list of duties but represents the main requirements of the role)

To liaise closely with the Operations Director.
Ensure that vehicles, materials, tools and plant equipment under your control are fit for use and are used, stored and disposed of correctly.
To comply with all safety requirements.
To ensure all site staff are competent with tasks being asked of.
To manage and coordinate the site teams to ensure that there is a good quality and professional output of work.
To oversee the works for which they are responsible to the correct specification.
To resolve any additional items or problems on site that may delay the project being completed.
To correct ways in which production may be enhanced in both time and quality.
To produce/ensure that a daily diary/log where all activities and incidents are reported on and then communicated back to appropriate line managers on a daily basis.
Responsible for liaising with Chemist on-call
To liaise closely with the Contractor’s Responsible Engineer (CRE) to ensure the project is completed to the correct specification.
To liaise closely with the Commercial team to ensure the project is completed within the financial and time constraints allowed for in the tender.
Liaise with the Site Foremen/supervisor to provide advice to them as required to ensure that their performance is satisfactory and that they have sufficient workload.
Liaise with the estimating department to advise on the feasibility of the projects before aiding with labour, plant and materials, as well as time requirements for the projects.
Attend pre-contract meetings and site visits with clients to determine the scope of works.
Organise with the client all programme requirements for both parties to ensure the clients final deadline for delivery can be achieved within own company’s capacity.
Produce all relevant method statements for the planned work.
Attend any Project review meetings/health and safety meetings required to ensure all aspects are covered prior to work commencing.
Oversee the production and issuing of all design documentation.
Liaise with the design department throughout the project as required.
Complete labour, plant and material requisition sheets.
Liaise with the procurement department to ensure the project will be supplied with materials and plant ensuring this will be delivered on time
Upon completion of the projects attend any close out meetings if necessary, to see if the client is satisfied with the work undertaken and to take on board any comments or lessons learned for future projects.
