UK Rail Sector Director
Location: UK-wide – Main Rail offices based in London, Birmingham, Leeds
** Hybrid working, 2 – 3 days in an office and 2 – 3 days working remotely from home.
Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 basic + Car or Allowance + Bonus + Package
Role:
This role is a mixture of developing new relationships and focusing on delivering the packages already awarded. Supported by developing the strategic plan for the UK and where the business could be in the next 5 years.
This client has an Engineering focus, operating across the infrastructure sector. Delivering packages of works for clients across various sectors covering the following specialties:
Design – Geotechnical, Civil engineering, Structures, M&E
Technology – Digital – CAD, BIM
Programme Management – Design packages & Site representative
Commercial – Cost Management and Commercial support
As the UK Rail Director, you will be the face of the business, responsible for both internal and external stakeholder relationships. Working closely with the Managing Director and other Business Unit Directors to understand the clients, project portfolios and chances to be collaborative. The other aspect is the Rail sector itself, working closely with key clients, and understanding political aspects regarding the Rail sector funding and opportunities that will be presented in the short, medium and long term.
You need to be a leader in the UK Rail sector to be considered for this role. Be it at an Associate level looking to step up or already leading a Rail organisation but wanting more autonomy and support to grow a successful business unit.
Qualifications: –
Minimum of an HNC or HND or Degree ideally in an Engineering subject.
Experience of working in a senior capacity within a consultancy operating in the UK rail sector.
Location isn’t an issue as you will operate across the UK but travel is required be it to client’s sites or to any of the 3x Rail UK offices to meet with your team and leadership team.
