Senior Engineer

The Project

As an experienced Senior Engineer, you will work on a large civil infrastructure development in Buckinghamshire. You will play a key role assisting the Site Agent with the running of the site.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;

First Aid
CSCS Card
SSSTS or SMSTS
Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering

It is also desired that you hold the skills & experience below;

Experience in a Senior Engineering role
Experienced in Bridges, Culverts or Viaducts

The Role

Job Title: Senior Engineer
Job Type: Contract (open to permanent)
Location: Buckinghamshire
Contract Length: 12 months
Reporting to: Site Agent

Duties

Surveying
Setting Out
Problem solving
Quality Assurance
Raises RFI’s and CVI’s
Training others in setting out
Supervising a team of Engineers
Adhere to current H&S regulations
Create as built surveys and log data
Recognise extras and potential claims
Attend and contribute in project related meetings
Management of onsite labour including subcontractors
Provide progress updates to The Senior Management Team
Write letters to external companies for signature by the Agent
Provide Technical Advice to Project Team members and Clients
Identify temporary works within the section ensuring they are planned
Reporting in to and working closely with the Senior Management Team
Liaising with technical, external specialists, etc to ensure they are implemented successfully
Produce method statements for all operations carried out to be offered to the client for approval
Relay information to site teams / labour to ensure works are constructed within required tolerances
Understand and interpret contract documents (drawings, bending schedules, specifications, moss/setting out information strings)
