Railway Engineer

We are seeking to recruit a Railway Engineer to assist in the upkeep and maintenance of their on-site locomotives.

The successful candidate will receive a starting salary of up to c£40,000 alongside overtime working opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair and modifications of locomotives and rolling stock
Record all maintenance work carried out on locomotive systems, logging fault reports and risk statements
Ensure that exceptional housekeeping standards are maintained and company best practice
Achieve personal track safety and designated person certifications
Work closely with departmental management team to identify areas of continuous improvement via Lean methodologies
Skills & Qualifications

Previous Electrical or Mechanical experience on traction or rolling stock
Engineering related degree or equivalent discipline
Proven experience in the rail sector essential
Ability to read and understand engineering schematics and drawings
Modern knowledge of Rail health and safety standards
Ability to diagnose faults in a methodical and efficient manner
Full UK Driving Licence and own transport required
