Quantity Surveyor

About this Role:
We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to work for a regional civil engineering contractor in Basingstoke.

The appointed Quantity Surveyor will be able to deliver multiple projects within rail/civils. These projects include bridges, embankments, stations, platforms, and tunnels. There will also be involvement with the Environmental Agency and Local Authorities.

Quantity Surveyor Duties Include:

Supporting Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers in the management
Pricing and ensuring estimates are submitted accurately and on time,
Resolving pricing issues with clients
Client Liaison
Liaison with Site Managers to collate information on day to day remits,
Subcontractor management
Change management and early warnings
Contract administration (NEC/NR forms of contract)
CVR’s and Final Accounting

Person Specification:

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in rail
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Civil Engineering project experience (rail, bridges, roads, structures, earthworks for example)
Contractual experience with NEC or bespoke NR forms of contract
