We are looking to hire a Procurement/Category Manager who is experienced in Civils/Estates/FM to join a team within a rail organisation as they continue to grown the function. This role will work closely with the Head of Procurement and Senior Procurement Manager to ensure the department delivers an effective and efficient procurement service to the business and it’s unique stakeholders. Must be a clear and confident communicator with proven experience of managing a broad range of goods and services within Estates/Civils/FM spend within the organisation. Previous experience in rail is beneficial, along with managing multiple projects/stakeholders in this category simultaneously.

Key areas will be;

Development/improvement of procurement processes and procedures within the CAPEX/FM/Estates category
Proven experience of Estates/FM/CAPEX procurement within the Private of Public Sector
Commercial acumen and a clear understanding of procurement/supplier contracts management
Stakeholder engagement across a range of categories – including FM/Estates/CAPEX
Effective negotiator – must have gravitas along with energy and drive
Acting as a procurement advisor and trusted partner to internal customers
Managing suppliers in line with organisational policy
Ensuring compliance in all areas of procurement activity
Ability to interact and influence stakeholders within various internal/external business units
MCIPS qualified – desirable
JCT contracts experience – desirable
