JOB PURPOSE

To monitor and support the safe operation of the train fleet and staff, supporting all areas of the operations department and maximising contractual obligations.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Communicate safety-critical information as required
Monitor trains and staff movements and hours in accordance with company policies and procedures
Ensure trains are resourced as necessary within your remit of control
Train shift reports are completed and distributed on a daily basis.
Real-time reporting of any areas of concern
Issue safety briefings as required
Order and organise resources
Carry out any short-term planning
Work to a fixed roster, which includes unsociable hours and weekends
Adhere to operational policies and procedures.
Reporting of all accidents & incidents & dealing with safety of the line and operational incidents.
To ensure all records & databases are accurate & maintained daily
