Mechanical Fitter

We are currently looking to recruit skilled mechanical fitters to support a contract modification project in Wolverton, Milton Keynes.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake strip-out and installation of components and equipment to set specifications in line with quality procedures and health and safety requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

Undertake mechanical strip-out and installation in accordance with installation procedures
Undertake mechanical maintenance of units, components and systems
Carry out repairs or additional work arising
Work effectively as part of a team, taking the lead when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Must have relevant experience in a mechanical engineering environment
Must have recognised relevant qualification to Level 3 standard (NVQ, C&G, BTEC, HND, etc.)
Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and according to procedures
Understands and cares for tools, equipment and PPE as appropriate
Must have rail rolling stock experience
