Senior Electronics Engineer

Senior Electronic Engineer – £50 – 65k – Reading – Hybrid

 

My client is a global leader in their niche providing audio visual solutions for the film and broadcast industry.  Due to sustained success, they’re expanding their engineering team,

 

Main duties:

– Design cutting-edge hardware with a skilled team using high-end FPGAs and CPUs.

– Maintain and enhance hardware design capabilities, incorporating new tools for continuous improvement.

– Improve manufacturing efficiency by implementing test automation and optimizing DFM/DFT, while addressing existing product issues and component availability challenges.

 

Skills and Experience Required:

– 5+ years of experience in hardware development & a track record of the product life cycle

– Digital circuit board design, some analogue design experience is useful

– Schematic entry and PCB layout guidance

– Experience contributing to new product design and development

 

Bonus:

– OrCAD, PADS/Allegro design tools

– Knowledge of high speed interfaces and SI modelling
