Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer

A well-established Water Hygiene / Legionella outfit is seeking a driven Water Hygiene Engineer to complete routine ACOP L8 service duties across sites in the South of England. The role will involve some basic remedial plumbing duties, so applicants will ideally need experience in this area. Candidates will need to be flexible in order to fulfil client requirements, and must ensure to represent the company in a professional manner when operating on site. It would be advantageous to have access to the M4 for travel to client sites. The successful candidate can expect competitive salaries and benefits as well as attractive training prospects.

The role will cover sites across: Woking, Camberley, Fleet, Farnborough, Guildford, Farnham, Basingstoke, Reading, Maidenhead, Slough, Windsor, High Wycombe, Watford, Harrow, St Albans, Potters Bar, Twickenham, Hounslow, Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames, Epsom, Sutton, Croydon, Bracknell, Redhill, Caterham, Didcot, Oxford, Aylesbury, Thatcham, Swindon, Andover, Wantage.

Experience / Qualifications:
– Good track record working as a Water Hygiene Engineer
– Will have worked within a well-established Water Hygiene / Legionella company
– Understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
– As a minimum, will have a basic level of plumbing experience and knowledge
– Able to use a PDA and IT software to complete service reports
– It would be advantageous to have completed industry-related training courses, such as: TMVs, Cleans & Disinfections
– Hardworking and positive attitude

The Role:
– Working across a range of commercial, public sector and domestic client sites to maintain the safety and compliance of water systems
– Showerhead disinfecions
– TMV servicing
– Failsafe checks
– Calorifier inspections
– Cold water storage tank inspections, cleans & disinfections
– Basic plumbing duties such as pipework adjustments or minor installations
– Keeping an accurate log of works completed
– Travelling in line with company requirements
