Duties:
General Engineering Technologists & Technicians support engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of products/processes.
Activities include but are not limited to;
Identifying and recommending improvements/preventive actions,
inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and systems.
Monitor processes, estimates costs, makes or verifies calculations
Analyse and interpret data.
Tests new and modified products, processes, and/or systems.
Responsibilities typically include:
Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
Skills:
Experienced Damper Build Engineer with proven track record of producing bespoke / prototype damper specification builds in a range of different damper technologies.
Good IT skills, experience of running rating measurement equipment and processing results.
Background in Automotive, either OEM, supplier or motorsport/specialist businesses.
Position would be joining a team of build engineers working on a double day-shift pattern and so this would be expected.
Education:
Minimum 2 years experience in the field, Automotive OEM prototype, supplier or motorsport/specialist.
Physical, hands-on experience is essential.
Engineering degree or other formal relevant training/education is desirable.
Must be willing to take part in a mechanical trial / skills test hand building a damper.
