We are working with the largest UK Train Operating Company (currently posting revenues of over £8.9Billion the last seven years), who are seeking to recruit a Train Cleaner to join the Train Presentation team based at their Bedford Cauldwell Walk Depot.

We are a stock market recognised recruitment agency, specialising in the transportation, infrastructure, construction and engineering sectors on both permanent and contract basis.

Our client covers the Southeast, Greater London & East Anglia areas – this includes Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, London & Hertfordshire. The Role:

As a Train Cleaner, you will be joining the ‘Heavy Cleans’ team carrying out deep cleans on the interior of the Thameslink fleet. The role itself will consist of all aspects of Train Cleaner duties, including hoovering the floors, mopping/buffering the floors, wiping down and sanitizing touch points, inspecting/maintaining toilets, cleaning graffiti and more. There is one cleaner per 3 or 4 carriages, meaning you will be working in a team of 4 at most times.

The depot itself is relatively large in its presence with a requirement to be physically fit to move around the depot with no restrictions.

Your roster works on a Monday – Friday basis with the working hours being from 22:00 – 05:00. However, any potential candidates must have the availability to work from 18:00 onwards as that is when overtime typically starts.
