Seasonal Railway Operator

Summary:

We are seeking a Temporary Operator to join our team at Babbacombe Cliff Railway from July to late October to cover holiday/Sickness hours possibly of more hours in peak months.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our funicular railway, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all passengers while upholding our commitment to heritage and safety.

Responsibilities:

Operate the funicular railway in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular inspections of the railway equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking safely.
Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns from visitors.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the railway station and surrounding areas.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak times.

Requirements:

Must be available from July through to October
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with passengers and team members.
Commitment to safety standards and procedures.

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
