Job Overview

The Principal Contractors Gas Peaking Mechanical Completions Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion and commissioning of a 499MW gas peaking infrastructure project. This role involves managing mechanical completions, overseeing documentation, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring all systems are fully functional and compliant.

 

Key Responsibilities

– Turnover Packs & Completion Packs: Preparing, managing, and verifying turnover and completion packs to ensure project deliverables are met.
– Snag & Punch List Closure: Identifying and closing out mechanical snags and punch list items to ensure the quality and functionality of systems.
– System Completion & Commissioning: Ensuring all mechanical systems are correctly installed, filled, and tested before final handover.
– Subcontractor Supervision: Overseeing subcontractor activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications and safety standards.
– Documentation & Compliance: Managing all mechanical completion documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
– Coordination & Reporting: Working closely with project teams, engineers, and site managers to track progress and report completions status.

 

Requirements

– Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent).
– Experience in gas peaking projects or related energy infrastructure.
– Strong understanding of mechanical commissioning processes.
– Proficiency in managing turnover and completion documentation.
– Ability to supervise subcontractors and ensure work is completed efficiently.
– Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
