Duties:

Identifying suitable markets and industry for the business.  Understanding the customer base and gaining new customers.
Completing the necessary sales activity including customer visits, cold calls, emails, exhibitions and travelling to support customer requirements.
Reporting and liaising directly with the Sales Director to ensure quotations are obtained whilst remaining competitive and meeting customer demands.
Account management – from receiving enquiries, obtaining quotations from the estimating team, to handing over orders to the Project Manager.
Grow and run accounts up to the value of £500K+ and growing each account to it’s very highest potential.
After sales care including regular visits and telephone contact.
Liaise with sales, production and quality departments
Meet with customers on a face to face basis both on and off site
Deliver company presentation to a corporate level – be involved in quality audits and company shop floor tours.
Sales reporting to be completed as per the business requirements.

 

Key Skills:

Proven track record of working in Sales within the sheet metal engineering industry supplying to B2B, Tier 1 & OEM supply chain.
Experience of building key accounts and be commercially astute.
Knowledge of metal pressings, laser cut fabrication and welded assembly would be advantageous
Ideally hold a formal engineering qualification.
Excellent communication skills and be confident to speak with various partners, suppliers and internal departmental team members.
