Zed Rail Limited are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer, working within the Sales department within a well-established Manufacturing company based in Coventry. The successful candidate will receive full product and on-going training and will join a motivated sales team with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets.

Role responsibilities:

– For the role of Sales Engineer, you will be calculating material requirements and production costs.
– Producing quotations for customers which are clear, detailed and accurate is required for the Sales Engineer role.
– Providing and assisting colleagues on technical and engineering issues.
– For the role of Sales Engineer, you will be building relationships with customers and potential customers to understand their requirements.
– Communicating with customers to gain feedback on quotations.
– Recording all relevant sales information on our system.

Role requirements:

– Qualification(s) in mechanical engineering or a minimum of 3 years’ experience within the steel, engineering, or construction industry is required for the Sales Engineer role.
– Confident in reading and interpreting engineering CAD drawings.
– For the Sales Engineer role, AutoCAD experience would be beneficial.
– Ability to understand material grades and production methods is required for the Sales Engineer role.
– A good level of computer literacy and numeracy skills.
– Microsoft Excel conversant.
– To be organised, accurate and have an eye for detail.
– Team working and excellent communication skills.
