Quality Assurance Engineer

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Engineering professional to join the Product Assurance Equipment Engineering team, supporting a variety of Electronic Equipment in Development. This role offers the chance to contribute significantly to product quality, working closely with engineering teams and managers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, contribute to, and maintain Equipment Quality planning documentation
• Ensure compliance with Electronic Engineering BMS procedures
• Plan and execute Product Life Cycle reviews, ensuring appropriate actions are managed
• Manage Product Non-Conformance, facilitate the Non-conformance process, and support defect investigations
• Provide Non-Conformance data analysis and summary reports for Major Equipment and senior management reviews
• Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate Quality risks and issues for in-house equipment
• Participate in engineering process improvement initiatives and facilitate local flash audits
• Plan and facilitate quality-focused micro-training sessions to improve quality process awareness and competencies within the team

 

The successful candidate will have:

• Ideally HNC/HND in Engineering or Quality Assurance, or equivalent experience in a related role
• Proven track record in Quality Assurance, preferably within Electronic Engineering
• Proficiency in current QA problem-solving and improvement methods (e.g., 8D, RCA, DMAIC)
• Good knowledge of the product lifecycle, specifically in development
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to run reports in Excel, use SAP QM systems, and document management tools
• A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to use initiative to drive process enhancements
