About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled MIG Welder & Fabricator to join our team, working on the repair, refurbishment, and modification of railway carriages. This role is perfect for someone with a strong eye for detail, high welding standards, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out MIG welding and fabrication on steel railway carriage components
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Undertake cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting tasks as required
Ensure all work meets industry safety and quality standards
Work as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order

Requirements

Proven MIG welding and fabrication experience (preferably in heavy engineering or rail)
Ability to read and work from technical drawings
Strong understanding of health & safety in the workplace
Experience working with mild steel and structural sections
NVQ / City & Guilds in Welding & Fabrication (or equivalent) preferred
