Site Manager – Required for an office in Sheffield. The Site Manager will be involved in the delivery of a 2 year programme renovating derelict railway arches. Spreading from London to Manchester and Leeds, the programme will see thousands of neglected railway arches refurbished and prepared ready for occupation by businesses.

 

The Site Manager will be working on a day to day basis, managing; paper work, materials, equipment, labour and sub-contractors. The Site Manager will be a competent Civil Engineering professional, with at least 7 years’ experience of Civil Engineering construction project work with Rail Experience. The Site Manager will be required to prepare and implement site specific management plans, with an emphasis on the importance of Health & Safety at all times.

Manage Network Rail and rail related infrastructure contracts
Responsible for quality of works on site
Update weekly progress on site programme and site drawings & share with Project / Contracts Managers
Plan, coordinate & motivate effective deployment of allocated personnel and resources
Implement site safety documentation & contract plans to achieve the clients’ requirements & specification
Monitor cost against budget, identify progress of works against programme.
Provide guidance & advice to site personnel for competent execution of contract works
Site Manager Position Requirements

Civil Engineering qualifications (HNC / HND)
Minimum of 5 years experience managing day to day operations on multiple schemes
PTS & COSS
Temporary Works Coordinator – Desirable
SMSTS, IOSH and First Aid
National Rail experience ideally including Earthworks / Rope access
Knowledge of CDM Regulations
General buildings knowledge & experience
Commercial awareness
Happy with Travel
