About the opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a Site Agent to work on rail projects throughout the South East. The initial scheme you will join is a two year project based in  South London where works will involve installation of lifts, a footbridge over a railway line and modifications to platforms.

You will be expected to operate and promote a high standard of health and safety by ensuring Method Statements and Risk Assessments are in place for all aspects of the work. You’ll have to check engineering drawings/specifications, identifying and resolving design conflicts. You’ll be in charge of running a team of up to 10 direct reports, assisting with their all-round development whilst you work closely and report directly to the project manager.

The successful professional will be rewarded with a very good and competitive salary ranging from £60,000 – £67,000 (negotiable depending on experience) plus a car allowance, private health care, life assurance cover and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. On top of this, you will be working for a very well-respected infrastructure contractor, a contractor that will look after you, and a contractor that’ll make sure you’re taught correctly.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will hold an industry recognised qualification such as a Degree, HND, NVQ or similar in a Civil Engineering. You must hold experience of working on Network Rail infrastructure projects with values ranging up to £10M and you must have working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations and design management.

Knowledge of primavera P6 software or Microsoft projects along with a PTS / Highways passport is desirable although not essential.
