Due to continued business growth and expansion, our client is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis. Our client supply quality high end products into a number of sectors including Automotive, Electronic and Rail. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a growing business, assisting in spearheading continuous improvement onsite.

Job Responsibilities;

The main function and responsibility of the Quality Engineer is to ensure our client are meeting their QA objectives, including driving continuous improvement within the framework of ISO 9001. The successful applicant will support in quality checking products prior upon arrival, prior to them be dispatched to their customers.

Completing audits onsite, ensuring company process are in line with ISO 9001 accreditation.
Regularly communication with customer regarding orders and assisting them with any technical queries they may have.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings to assist customers with their requirements and suggesting the most appropriate product.
Taking receipt and quality checking inbound products before arranging the right product to be delivered to customers.
liaising with both internal departments and external customers and suppliers regarding products and quality.
Completing quality checks of products.

Technical Knowledge / Qualifications;

Minimum 3 years’ experience within a Quality Engineer role is essential
Previous experience within the manufacturing / engineering sectors is essential.
Previous experience dealing with customer and suppliers is essential.
Must have an understanding of process capability, cp & cpk
Must have core tool knowledge, SPC, PPAP, MSA, FMEA
Previous experience within internal auditing, a auditing qualification is desirable
Previous experience completing internal and customer audits, to ISO 9001 standards.
Previous experience using measuring equipment such as, micrometer, electronic calliper, shadowgraph etc.
Proficient with MS Office packages
Must be a strong communicator who can communicate at all levels.
