Quality Engineer

Our client is a global leader in advanced engineering and innovative technology solutions — uniquely positioned to tackle the world’s most complex engineering challenges.

We are recruiting for Quality Engineer to join our clients Engineering and Technical Solutions team at Sizewell B.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong leadership on quality matters within project delivery teams and portfolios, promoting a best-practice culture that drives commitment to quality and encourages continuous improvement across all levels.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system, reporting findings and recommending improvements to ensure project activities meet all relevant procedures and QA requirements.
• Report operationally to the client Project Portfolio Management or equivalent Group Head, with functional accountability to the client Quality Lead. This position has no direct reports.
• All team members are expected to have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments and maintaining high standards of safety and quality culture.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• HNC in a Technical Discipline or equivalent
• Recognised BE EN ISO9001 Internal Auditor Training completed
• Certification as IRCA Auditor/Lead Auditor
• Should be aware of the Site Licence requirements on quality assurance and arrangements required to ensure compliance
• Demonstrated proficiency in Quality Management standards and guidelines including the current versions of BS EN ISO09001
• Working knowledge of the current versions of IAEA GC-R-3, BS EN ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001
• Demonstrated proficiency in Quality Management practices, methods, and processes. This should include experience within Projects Quality.

Salary and benefits:

£45-65K per annum
