Prototype Build Engineer Opportunity 

We’re searching for a driven and dynamic Prototype Build Engineer to play a pivotal role in the early success of innovative vehicle programmes. This is your chance to lead the delivery of cutting-edge builds from start to finish — from procurement to audit and customer handover.

What You’ll Do:

Manage and deliver prototype builds in line with high-level project plans.
Ensure vehicle specifications support critical development and validation (DVP) activities.
Track and report spending while managing build documentation for seamless customer handover.
Liaise with procurement to secure timely part deliveries.
Resolve engineering issues, driving continuous improvement across projects.
Commission and sign off builds to ensure they’re fully dynamic and road-ready.

What You’ll Bring:

A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Automotive Engineering (2:1 or above).
Strong understanding of engineering theory and vehicle fundamentals.
Experience in prototype builds or low-volume, high-performance vehicle programmes.
Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably CATIA, and MS Office products.
A passion for problem-solving and innovation within the automotive sector.
