We have a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join the Finance Team for the client.

The Role:

As a Procurement Manager we are looking for an effective negotiator with a proven track record of delivering results. We require someone that has good experience in the development and implementation of procurement strategies, is an advanced user of Microsoft Applications, and has experience in different forms of commercial contracts, such as JCT and NEC.

The ideal candidate should have experience managing and delivering procurement from end-to-end, be able to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams, have commercial creativity and innovation, take on significant challenge, communicate effectively and stakeholder management skills.

Some of role responsibilities will include:

Development of alternative models of service provision
Esurance that appropriate contractual arrangements are in place for the areas of responsibility
The ability to develop, articulate and deliver procurement strategies for the area of responsibility
The ability to develop and implement contract management strategies
Ensure relevant training and competencies are gained and maintained, drive continuous improvement in service delivery
Demonstrate agility and willingness, effective and consistent data management and record keeping
Recommend contract awards to senior management / internal users in line with company policy

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with strong cradle to grave procurement experience across a wide range of construction and works, and professional services. They should be working towards or holding a Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Qualification (MCIPS), minimum level 4 required. They should have experience of tendering under Procurement Utilities Contract Regulations or Public Contract Regulations, sound commercial and financial awareness, and good working knowledge of contract law. They should be able to multitask and manage several concurrent/conflicting projects and deadlines, and work collaboratively with a range of individuals and teams.
