Looking to join the rail industry in the Procurement department, or have experience already?

We are inviting self-motivated and organised candidates to apply for a Procurement Administrator position within their Worksop office, helping to streamline procurement administration to support timely project delivery.

OVERALL PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the procurement function of the business, also working closely with the stores and commercial teams.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manage incoming / outgoing correspondence including departmental multi-user email accounts.
  • Daily review of purchase requests and where appropriate processing of purchase orders with existing and established supplier base.
  • Maintain accurate data within the purchasing database and departmental spreadsheets.
  • Liaise with stores staff to ensure goods inward records are correct and receipted for invoice matching.
  • Data entry of invoices and credit notes.
  • Initial investigation & notification of invoice queries, with regular review of following actions.
  • Scanning and saving of documents.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:

1. Accuracy & timely completion of tasks

2. All work is undertaken in accordance with company procedures and authorisation levels.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

1. KNOWLEDGE

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word is advantageous.

2. SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Good organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and manipulate data.
  • Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised to deadlines.
  • Be a confident communicator and be able to develop productive working relationships with suppliers and colleagues

3. EXPERIENCE

  • Must have existing administrative experience, preferably within a purchasing / finance function.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
