Your main responsibilities will be:
Liaison with suppliers and point of contact. Material warranty. Technical and Contract review meetings on and off Depot, logistics.
supporting the production teams in not only delivering the final product but improving the products performance through process driven change / modification improvements.
Deputising for the Depot Engineering Manager when required.
Assessing operational competencies in the workplace.
Conducting Inductions as required for on coming external work parties and internally.
Working in a specialist management team to meet the needs of the depot.
Managing Calibrated tooling and or equipment to ISO standards.
You’ll need to be:
The role will require a high level of attention to detail, working to procedures, formulating documentation, an understanding of company documentation processes.
Communication is key in everything we do so excellent IT skills would be beneficial in software programs including Excel, Word, R2, power-point etc.
A recognised apprenticeship and / or NVQ 3 in engineering or equivalent is required electrical bias preferred.
Knowledge of Network Rail, Environmental legislation and Depot plant (infrastructure) systems would be an advantage.
Attending and passing an internal auditor’s qualification is a condition of this post.
Additional Information:
The position will require the successful applicant to normally work day shift pattern, but the role will require ‘out of hours’ working at times to cover any unplanned/planned events or activities to be undertaken by the DEM Team. Travel to other sites and willing to undertake further training to undertake activities for the DEM Team function will be required.
