Job Summary:
As a CNC Machinist , you will play a crucial role in our Machine shop . You will be responsible for manufacturing a range of components using CNC turning centre machines and will have some experience in using manual centre lathes.
You will also be required to manufacture components from engineering drawings and have the ability to use measuring equipment efficiently.
Key Functions:
· Setting and operating Haas CNC turning centres.
· Using conventional lathe and milling machines for manufacture and production support.
· Working to tight tolerances on a range of materials.
· Experienced working in a busy machining production environment.
· Ensuring and adhering to good housekeeping standards.
· Any other workshop duties where required.
Essential Skills & Education:
· Experience and ability to operate CNC turning centre lathes
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions
· Strong communication skills
· Safe working practices
· A positive approach to change
· Excellent attention to detail
· Good housekeeping
· Working under pressure to achieve production targets.
Desirable Skills & Education:
· ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline
· Knowledge of programming, setting and operating CNC machines
· Considerable experience working in a machine shop environment using manual lathes to achieve tight tolerances.
