The company covers the whole of the North, which includes the Northeast & West of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as the occasional part of the East Midlands and Staffordshire. As a result of this, they have a large fleet of trains – 333 to be precise, so it’s safe to say you will be active & busy with your role!

 

The Role:

As a Mobile Train Cleaner/train cleaning operative, your role will consist of train maintenance jobs which  include deep and full cleans, from hoovering floors, replenishing/cleaning toilets, sanitizing touch points, buffering and much more. You’ll be working in a team with other Mobile Train Cleaners, covering both Doncaster & Sheffield stations on your shift. You will also be charged with the responsibility of maintaining hygiene standards across our rail network, ensuring safe and efficient cleaning services for trains and rail infrastructure.

Hours wise, it is an 20:00pm – 06:00am night shift role, where you will work on a 4 on 4 off/5 on 4 off shift pattern, across Monday to Sunday.

• £12p/h rate

Requirements:

• Have held a UK DRIVING LICENSE FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS!

• Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test

• Be able to pass a full rail medical – this will include, sight, hearing, colourisation, heart, lungs, brain, etc

• Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment

• Must have team leading experience, but this does NOT have to be rail based

•Train cleaners are required to have a “Happy to help mentality/attitude”

• A decent fitness is needed as the site is very large and will involve a lot of walking, so please keep this in mind when applying
