MATERIALS PLANNER ADMINISTRATOR

We are looking for detailed-oriented applicants with materials planning experience to join a Rail team, located in Chippenham.

Looking for someone with experience overseeing all correspondence related to the customer services inbox, quotation, order processing, and logistics management.

EXPERIENCE

Academic qualifications at GCSE level.
Proficient in IT with a solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, in particular).
Previous experience in a customer-facing operational team.
Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Capability to prioritize tasks, adhere to strict deadlines, and manage time efficiently.
Prior experience within a complex materials management environment would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
Proficiency in the use of SAP (Preferred).
RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactively handle customers’ requests for quotations and purchase orders.
Input sales orders into the SAP system and generate POs for external and internal supply chains, overseeing the entire process from receipt to customer dispatch.
Manage all incoming emails to the customer service inbox.
Communicate daily with clients and the supply chain to ensure on-time deliveries.
Monitor the materials schedule and verify that manufacturing/external suppliers deliver materials promptly.
Aid with reporting, order amendments, project setups, billing plans, invoice errors, customer inquiries, and meeting financial targets at month and year-end.
Provide administrative support to the Materials Team when needed.
