Possessions Planning Manager

We are looking for a Possessions Planning Manager to join our Train Planning team in Manchester. You will be joining a great team and if you are familiar with the railway possession planning process then you’ll fit right in. You will be a person who already knows the rail network throughout the North of England and South of Scotland and are familiar with the Engineering Access Statement and the D/CPPP together with the Industry processes for agreeing access to the network. You’ll need a keen eye for detail and the ability to digest the impact of multiple overlapping possessions.

As well as an eye for detail, you’ll need to participate actively in collaborative industry working groups to determine the optimum overall solution for delivering timetables and diagrams around planned engineering works.

You will also need to be confident to make presentations to explain the rationale and decisions about planned disruption to the timetables and diagrams at all levels of the organisation, whether that be Trade Union representatives, other Managers, the Executive team or Front line staff.
