About the Role:

Responsible to the Head of Operational Standards, the Operations Audit & Compliance Manager role will be responsible for the planning and delivery of our operational audit strategy with a relentless passion for standards, safety, compliance, and operational excellence, being visible across the organisation and supporting the safe running of the railway and our transformational change with a high-profile, collaborative presence across our network.

In order to facilitate this, they will oversee the planning and delivery of operational audit programmes, ensuring it is delivered in line with the requirements of the Safety Management System, with responsibility for recommendations and corrective actions being robustly tracked through to completion. Management of an effective quality assurance cycle is a foundational element of this role, ensuring that continual improvement in our operational safety, performance, agility, and efficiency is realised and reflected in our processes. Train Driving experience is required for the role.

Taking an energetic approach to operational excellence and transformation, the successful candidate will develop, evolve, and maintain collaborative, productive, working relationships with colleagues and functions within the business, acting as a high-profile role model, leading by example, and championing operational standards in everything they do.
