Location: Manchester

Contract: Northern Rail

Salary: £39,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours/week)

Vehicle: Company van provided

Driving Licence: Required

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a qualified and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team working on the Northern Rail contract. You’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across various railway sites, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and compliance. This is a mobile role, with travel required within the region.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive tasks

Complete and upload all documentation via CAFM systems

Perform Fixed Wire Testing and related remedial works

Ensure all work meets technical, safety, and quality standards

Support colleagues and clients with electrical issues and queries

Conduct H&S inspections and risk assessments as needed

Communicate job progress to requesters and maintain accurate records

Participate in small projects or other assignments as required

 

 

Essential Qualifications (must have one of the following):

City & Guilds 2230 Level 3

NVQ 2356 / 2357

City & Guilds 2330 Level 3

AM1 & AM2
