1 in 4 weeks – On call on a Saturday (Additional Pay)

Role Description:
The Electrical Engineer will provide expert engineering support for the High Voltage (HV) Traction Power and Low Voltage (LV) Distribution systems. Reporting to the Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Manager, the role is focused on ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of electrical assets, as well as leading on improvements to maintenance regimes and engineering practices. The successful candidate will lead investigations into technical and safety issues, support asset renewals and enhancements, and collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.

Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Strong knowledge of HV and LV electrical infrastructure in a rail or light rail environment
* Experience in maintenance planning, reliability-centred maintenance, and asset lifecycle management
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks for rail and electrical systems
* Experience conducting technical and safety investigations and audits
* Skilled in producing engineering documentation and technical reports
* Knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
* Ability to analyse and assess asset condition and risk
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, mentoring, and cross-discipline collaboration skills
* Safety-critical mindset with commitment to zero harm and continuous improvement
