We are working with a leading PLC business who are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their facility near Mansfield.
Salary: £52,500
Shifts: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (rotation of days/nights)
Reporting to the Engineering Shift Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will provide site-based engineering support to minimise downtime and ensure uptime, and availability of the installed automated equipment on site.
Duties of the Maintenance Engineer will include:
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of all onsite automated equipment
Carry out planned repairs and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment
Fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and/or electrical faults
Respond to automation faults and breakdowns promptly ensuring minimal downtime
Prioritise system faults and optimise uptime and availability of onsite automated equipment
Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages
Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning and testing of upgrades and enhancements
Ensure optimum levels of onsite spare parts are maintained
Support site meetings as required
Mentor, train and advise junior members of the team.
We would like to speak with Maintenance Engineers with the following:
Mechanical or Electrical Qualification
Apprentice trained
Experience working with automated material handling systems
Ability to work at height.
Capable of understanding Mechanical, Electrical and/or Electronic technical manuals and drawings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective time and workload management skills.
