We have availability for Front of House staff (FOH), working Wednesdays through to Sunday daytime!
Job Summary:
This role requires an experienced, customer-focused FOH with vision and drive providing exceptional quality and great service for our customers, ultimately driving revenue growth. As FOH this role will primarily be based at Butler Henderson Cafe at our Quorn & Woodhouse Station but may also involve working at any of our catering outlets including on our trains.
The post-holder will work closely with the Café Supervisor supporting other staff if required. There is a small team of paid and volunteer staff, working within the constraints of a small busy kitchen.
Key tasks and Responsibilities:
1) Maintain a good standard of personal hygiene and either have or agrees to undertake a Food & Hygiene awareness to a minimum level 1 standard and an allergens course.
2) Working as part of a small team, punctuality and a good attendance record is expected
3) Monitor and maintain café cleanliness and organisation with high focus on adherence to food safety and health and safety standards at all times.
– Keep on top of cleanliness in all areas visible and accessible to customers, including toilets.
4) Serve customers courteously and efficiently.
5) Ensure that tables are cleared, cleaned and laid to the Company standard.
6) Up selling in order to achieve maximum sales potential
7) Take part in staff briefings, meetings and training in order to continually improve Company standards and customer service.
8) Identify opportunities for new business and improvements in market strategy.
9) To deal with complaints and pass information to the Supervisor.
10) General kitchen duties.
11) Give visitors a positive experience with friendly and efficient service.
12) Report illness or injury in a timely manner to your supervisor.

Hours of work:
Full time hours are 37.5, including regular weekends. Additional hours may be available to support our Gala’s and Events from time to time. Core hours are 08.30am – 4.30pm.
Essential (minimum) personal qualities, knowledge or experience:
Proven experience working Front of House in café or restaurant with a minimum of one year in a similar role
Customer-centric with a passion for delivering outstanding service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work flexible hours and weekends
An ability to work under pressure.
