Our client is a leading Demolition and Civils Contractor, turning over approximately £250m. They take on complex schemes across London and take pride in their team’s dedication to delivering on time and within budget. The right candidate will have a solid track record working on central London projects.
They are currently seeking a skilled Site Engineer with demolition/ cut & carve/ enabling projects experience to join their team long term or permanently.
They are looking for an individual who can take responsibility for the setting out of works on the project. You will be reporting to the Project Manager and will take ownership for setting out, quality control, and maintaining accurate site records and the role will go for at least a year.
Key Responsibilities:
– Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control.
– Resolving technical problems at all levels.
– Carry out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan in a timely manner.
– The production of survey information and red – lined drawings for the completion of the As-built records.
– Ensure equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers’ defined requirements.
– Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract requirements using the appropriate procedures.
– Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties.
– Assist the Site Management team to update KPI’s, material reconciliation and progress reports.
Required Skills & Experience:
– Degree qualified Civil Engineering or Similar.
– Previous experience within an Engineer role.
– Experience on Construction or Civil Engineering projects.
– Experienced in surveying and setting out techniques.
– Sound understanding of Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental and Sustainability project requirements.
– CSCS Card
