About the job:

This role will take responsibility for supporting the day-to-day station operations to ensure they are delivered to the highest possible standards. This role assists in ensuring that the regional performance and safety plans are in place and that key milestones are being met.

 

The role holder will use data and digital tools to identify local operational areas requiring improvement and work closely with other teams and individuals to propose and work jointly on solutions. The role is responsible for assisting the Operation Manager for the Region and will work closely with the functional Operations Manager to support the overall functional Operations Strategy.

 

The role will provide support to the Regional Operations Manager.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

Planning:

Assists in planning operational tasks for the year at a regional level, taking into account risks and opportunities.
Supports the Regional Operations Manager in budget planning and forecasting.
Helps the regional team to create clear implementation plans for functional operational projects and workstreams and ensures these are delivered on time.

 

KPIs and Compliance:

Reviews and supports compliance-led activities.
Assists local Station Managers to ensure local compliance against company standards.
Supports regional plans to improve safety and performance, reporting progress against key milestones.
Assists in communicating regional performance and safety targets and takes action where KPIs are averse to budget.

 

Efficiency and Process:

Ensuring the Regional Support Clerk team is aware of regional requirements and priorities and are working to maximum efficiency.
Support efforts to identify and leverage budget opportunities for maximum benefit
Assist in finding and implementing ways to drive efficiencies against all controllable costs.
Assist in people planning for the region, ensuring recruitment is timely and efficient and that attendance is being well managed.
Responsible for reviewing local processes and documents to identify opportunities for digitalisation and enhance efficiency
Supports the regional team to find improved ways of delivering locally that better meet functional objectives.
Assists in maintaining local contingency plans

 

Leadership and Delivery:

Supports the presentation and communication of operational data to the regional team and other stakeholders as needed.
Supports local operational performance.

 

You’ll need:

Good standard of education with demonstrated numeracy skills.
Strong IT and digital skills, with the ability to learn systems and programs.
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team and successfully adapt to changing priorities.
Strong communication, presentation,
Must have the ability to work with data and digital tools effectively.
