Policy Officer

About the role:

We’re seeking a proactive and experienced professional to take on a pivotal role in supporting stakeholder engagement and collaboration within the programme.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating comms engagement activity through the Collaboration Hub—our central platform for communication and cross-industry alignment.

You will play an instrumental role in connecting industry colleagues, streamlining communication, and fostering a collaborative culture that supports the successful delivery of the programme’s objectives. Your ability to manage multiple projects and priorities for senior stakeholders, bring clarity to complex interactions, and translate successes into internal and external comms will be essential to the ongoing success of this high-profile initiative.

What you’ll bring:

Excellent communications (written and verbal) to articulate the status of the programme within a complex, sensitive landscape.
Strong interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to interact and maintain credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to synthesise complex information, understand and identify risks and opportunities.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple pressures at the same time.
Good knowledge and experience of rail industry.
