This unique dual-role graduate programme provides an opportunity to work across HR operations, talent development, and community impact initiatives. You will contribute to both internal employee engagement and external social responsibility projects that align with our mission to deliver positive, sustainable outcomes for communities and our workforce.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding processes.
Assist with HR compliance, record-keeping, and data analysis.
Support the coordination of training and development programmes.
Contribute to employee engagement and well-being initiatives.
Assist in updating HR policies and procedures in line with legislation.

 

Social Value:

Assist in the design and delivery of social value strategies across projects.
Coordinate community engagement activities, volunteering, and stakeholder collaboration.
Track and report on social impact metrics in alignment with customer requirements and the Social Value Model (PPN 06/20).
Support partnerships with schools, colleges, charities, and social enterprises.
Work closely with bid and project teams to ensure social value is embedded from planning to delivery.

 

What We’re Looking For:

A graduate in HR, Business Management, Social Sciences, Sustainability, or a related field.
Passion for social responsibility, inclusion, and making a positive impact.
Interest in the infrastructure or rail sector.
Strong interpersonal, organisational, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of HR best practices or social value frameworks is a plus.
