The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and nurturing SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist all-boys SEMH school in Wandsworth that supports students aged 5–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. In this role, you will work alongside teachers and therapists to provide consistent, trauma-informed support to pupils who may display challenging behavior, struggle with emotional regulation, or have additional needs such as ADHD or autism.

 

This is a hands-on and rewarding role where you will play a key part in helping students access their learning, build self-confidence, and develop essential life skills. You’ll need a calm, firm, and compassionate approach with a strong focus on behaviour management and building positive relationships.

 

 

Experience working in an SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision setting is highly desirable.
