Shift Leader/Duty Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bartending and food production, with a passion for delivering exceptional service in a vibrant hospitality environment. As Bar Manager, you will lead a team, ensuring that all aspects of the bar run smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Duties:

Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock control.
Train and mentor bar staff, fostering a positive team environment and enhancing their skills in bartending and food preparation.
Develop creative drink menus and specials that align with current trends and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the bar area.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production for bar service, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
Monitor financial performance, including sales reporting and cost control measures.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably as a Bar Manager or similar position.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent knowledge of bartending techniques, cocktail recipes, and food safety standards.
Experience in food production and preparation is advantageous.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in both service delivery and inventory management.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
